Christmas card

Here's a Christmas card I made for a friend showcasing one of my favorite stamps, Paper Pretties, Sophie (Trim the Tree). Isn't she cute? No doubt, you have seen this stamp around the Web on numerous blogs. If you haven't heard about the Paper Pretties Stamp of the Month Club, you can visit the website for information on how you can join.
The details for this card:
The patterned paper is K&Company and Copic markers were used to color Sophie and her dress. To color the ornament, sash, and hair ribbon, I used glitter pens. For the gold strip, I embossed it with a Cuttlebug folder, stamped the sentiment on cardstock, and punched it out with the scalloped, circle Nestabilities. The photo corner was created using a SU punch.
This card creation was super easy!

New Beginning...

Welcome! My name is Michele and this blog is my cyber-home for rants and raves about my favorite hobby...paper crafts. I hope to share (with fellow craft enthusiasts) ideas, sketches, and projects that are both exciting and engaging.

I have been an avid scrapbooker for six years and a custom card-maker for three years. My interest in scrapbooking began when I lived in Los Angeles at a time when I needed a creative outlet for nerves frazzled by countless traffic jams. Through numerous scrapbooking opportunities, I have met wonderful women that share my passion for perserving one's special memories. And it has been a joy to enlist newcomers to scrapbooking, participate in online swaps, and learn new techniques.

Again, welcome to my blog. Thank you for visiting and, please, visit often. I will do my best to post my original works as well as other items of interest.
