Hey, it's been a while
...since I posted a card. So, without further a do, here's a card I made for a fellow Bella Stamps fan. I met Theresa through Bellaholics Anonymous and haven't communicated with her in several months. I whipped up this Bella creation to send her some of my favorite images. Out of all the color combinations I use on my cards, I have to say pink and green is my favorite. The two colors go together so well and remind me of springtime. The glittered, patterned paper is a collection by Debbie Mum. I used Prima Flowers with clear gems to accent them. I colored Bella with Copic markers then placed pink ribbon and an oval Shimmer Shape by Scrapworks at the base of the card.

Better Late Than Never
Greetings, all! I've been a bit lazy the past few days so I am late posting the Valentine's Day card I made for my beau. Amazingly, it didn't take long to create this card. It seems when I am up against a deadline, I can generate something in record time...20 minutes! I had to hurry before the last, mail pick-up at the post office so my card would arrive before V'Day. Whew, I hate racing against time! Don't you? lol
Here's the details:
The card base is SU cardstock and the DP is from a Valentine-inspired collection from K&Company. I colored the circle tag with a Copic marker, added some RAK ribbon I received from a friend, and applied rub-on letters (Beach Steel) from Making Memories. The heart-shaped crystal embellishment was a last minute addition to give the card another focal point. Lastly, the "Sweetheart" title with brown background is also a rub-on and more brown ribbon at the bottom. To give the illusion of a border on the right side of the sentiment, I added three, pink crystals.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you had an enjoyable Valentine's Day with your special someone.

Gliding By Sophia
Happy Monday!
Last week, I received my January SOTM, Gliding By, from Paper Pretties. I absolutely LUV Sophia in her adorable ice skates and Winter outfit. I didn't intend to make this card so large, but it went in that direction on its own. lol Have you ever had a card do that? However, I'm pleased with the way it turned out. I love the color scheme and patterned paper. I think the buttons, at the top, add pizzazz to the overall look of the card. Instead of Copics, I colored Sophia's outfit with Prismacolor pencils. They worked real well with this image. For the jacket, I used a color called "Cream" although it's difficult to see it. I'm sorry I don't recall what company the buttons are from--I threw the wrapper away months ago. Anyway, I hope you like today's card. Thanks for stopping by! And, as always, keep on crafting.

Sweet Friend
TGIF, fellow crafters! My card, today, features an adorable stamp by Sarah Kay called Spring Blossoms. Isn't she adorable? I love the big hat and fashionable outfit. I didn't have a difficult time choosing the color scheme for this image as the pink and green color combination seemed a natural fit. I can imagine a five or six-year girl wearing an outfit just like this one. The elements I used include various Copic markers to color the image, the sentiment is a rub-on from K&Company, SU cardstock provides the base of the card, and the patterned paper is by Basic Grey. I'm not sure who the ribbon is by since they were gifts. Oh, and the button is actually a brad--ya gotta love that idea! Quick and easy embellishments are always in season. Enjoy your day and keep on crafting!

I'm in Whiff of Joy Heaven
For some time now, I have been wanting to get my hands on Willow with Hot Chocolate from the Whiff of Joy stamp line. This adorable image is a favorite among many Whiff of Joy fans. My good friend, Kim, from Virginia sent me several Willow images to play with and, needless to say, I am a happy stamper! Today's card features snazzy, patterned paper by The Paper Studio called "Pink Armadillo," Prima flowers, ribbon, paper piercing, and a sentiment from Stampabilities. If you like Willow and would like to check out the complete line of Whiff of Joy stamps, click here. Another adorable collection the company offers is called Guardian Angels. The "Melinda Helping Angel" is too cute for words. For my next card, I will feature "Melinda Blowing Kisses." I especially like this stamp because the kisses Melinda blows are hearts. It's perfect for a Valentine's Day card or project. As you can tell, I am quite fond of the Whiff of Joy line. I hope to add all of my personal favorites to my stamp collection~~someday.

Heart Card
My offering for today comes after a short break. I must confess I haven't felt much like creating although I have a few new stamps I'm anxious to play with. This card features the "Love Languages" stamp by Stampendous. The specialty cardstock by K&Company (a favorite craft company of mine) is called "Smitten" and it's a nice assortment of Valentine inspired designs. I used my Quickutz tool to cut the letters out and added a bit of ribbon. Voila, my Valentine's Day greeting is complete! I wish you could see, more clearly, the stamped image--it's embossed! To achieve the embossed effect, I stamped the image with Versamark and sprinkled clear embossing powder over it. Applied heat and the magic appeared.

A Special Valentine
He's cool, debonair, and in love. That's right! Riley Moose is laid back and ready for romance. lol What more could his beloved ask for? Hmm, I'm not sure. But to show off Riley Moose Valentino's (my nickname for him) mellow side, I created this card. Among the elements I used include: American Crafts ribbon, SU cardstock, Cuttlebug heart folder, and Copic markers. With Valentine's Day quickly approaching, you are likely to see other cards with this cute image. If you want to add it to your stamp collection, surf on over to Hanna Stamps.

Riley is so cute
Like thousands of stamp enthusiasts, I love the Riley images from Hanna Stamps. This little fella is quite talented (a jack of all trades) and is the cutest moose on the planet! I hope to make more cards using my assortment of Rileys. My latest creation features SleepyTime Riley, DP by Basic Grey, SU cardstock, ribbon, and buttons. I colored Riley with my Copic markers and added a little fun flock to the fur ball on his cap.

Mojo Monday 68
My card, today, was inspired by the terrific sketch from the Mojo Monday blog. The challenges are fun and a great opportunity to see cool designs by other card-makers. You, too, can participate in the Mojo Monday weekly challenge...they're open to everyone. Be sure to post a photo of your card to a personal blog or Splitcoaststampers gallery using the appropriate keyword (Mojo68, Mojo69, etc.). For this card, I used some left-over patterned paper from K&Company's Wild Saffron collection and added a few baubles and ribbon. The sentiment "Thanks for thinking of Me" is from Inkadinkado. The base of the card is metallic cardstock from The Paper Company.

Two for 2
When I started a blog last year, I didn't have enough time or card creations to post on a regular basis. These days, I am unemployed (like millions of Americans) so I can finally devote some time to a hobby I LOVE. This card features the "Sending You Love" stamp from the Paper Pretties stamp line. Here we have Sophia working on a Valentine project for someone special.
Wish-RAK images
Last week, I received a Wish-RAK from a member of the Wish-RAK society over on Splitcoaststampers.com. I was thrilled to get my hands on one of my favorite images by Whipper Snapper. He's the cutest little duck you've ever laid eyes on. So, immediately, I went into my scrapbook room and created this card I call "DuckLove." The elements I used: K&Company patterned paper, ribbon from Michaels and JoAnn, Copics markers, Martha Stewart's scalloped punch. The sentiment is from Paper Pretties. To highlight the bubbles and water splashes, I used the diamond Stickles.

Luv for SnowBunny Bella!
Happy New Year, fellow stampaholics! I've been having a ball creating cards with the SnowBunny Bella stamp. Although she's not new, she's still a diva. This Bella image has a lot of style and adds pizazz to any card creation. I especially had fun using fun flock to emphasize the fur on the coat's hood/cuffs as well as the cuffs on the boots. I can't believe I don't own this stamp! I will definitely add Ms. SnowBunny Bella to my collection the next time I place an order with Em'. If you're interested in any of the Bellas, you will find them at StampingBella. To view more cards using Bella images, check out the popular stamper's community: Splitcoaststampers. I must warn you...these cute stamps are highly addictive. You can't own just one.
